The holidays are over and the temperatures are dropping rapidly here in New York. I have learned though my thirty years at ZACHYS that the shipment of premium wines need to halt due to the freezing temps (And BOY is it cold). Our warehouse slams on the breaks to insure the integrity of all the wines we have worked so hard to maintain in our temperature controlled facility. We will now have to wait until that window of opportunity opens back up in early spring...8 weeks from now.
Being the motivated head spirits buyer that I am I asked Andrew, "You do know what we could still ship in these temps, don’t you? Spirits!!!"
