"A Joy to Drink" 93RR: Chateauneuf du Pape Premices Giraud 2011
Chateauneuf du Pape Premices Giraud 2011
This morning we woke up to a great offer on the newly released Chateauneuf du Pape cuvee from Domaine Giraud, Les Premices. This 100% Grenache cuvee is a custom collaboration between Marie Giraud and Eric Solomon using the young vine fruit of Domaine Giraud. Recently reviewed by Jeb Dunnuk of The Rhone Report and garnering a 93 point score, we have been anxiously awaiting this release.
Domaine Giraud has a storied history of producing grenache based Chateauneuf du Pape, with cuvees like Grenaches des Sixte, Les Gallimardes and Grenaches de Pierre as the predecessors to Les Premices. This custom cuvee is intended for more immediate approachability without compromising the exceptionally high standards of Marie Giraud.
The attention to detail and passion for grenache imparted on Chateauneuf du Pape Les Premices by Eric Solomon & Marie Giraud has produced a Chateauneuf that the Rhone Report is calling "Gorgeous" and "a Joy to Drink". Serious collectors take note and enjoy Les Premices while your Gallimardes is rounding out in the cellar.
Our first shipment will be arriving mid-April, but don't wait for long to secure yours. This is going to go quickly!
All my best,
