"Glorious" Value White: Oregon's Other Pinot
Beat the heat with this no-brainer white from a prestigious winery!
Seven Hills Winery is one of Washington State's oldest and most respected wineries. But one of their pet projects is a Pinot Gris sourced from Oregon, which has developed a following unto itself. Given the attention it received late last year, it's VERY easy to see why:
"A glorious, grapefruity, lusciously fresh Pinot Gris, this new vintage from Seven Hills is made for a summer afternoon. This has notes of citrus and melon, with highlights of mint and a hint of pepper, keeping it lively and interesting all through the refreshing finish...91." Wine Enthusiast Editor's Choice 10/12.
Perhaps this wine didn't get the attention it should have due to the weather at the time. In October, we aren't all thinking about which wine is perfect for a summer afternoon. But when you're in the thick of a July heat wave, ALL DAY feels like a summer afternoon, and a wine like this more than does the trick.
Quality, value, great press, and just plain fun, all wrapped up in one package. This wine is in stock and ready to enjoy.
