Wine Spectator's Top 100 of 2009!

It’s here…The 2009 Top 100 by Wine Spectator has just been released to subscribers today (Monday 11/18). That’s right the entire list has already been released, 1 through 100! This year the Wine Spectator team was not joking when they posted on their website that they were giving all their subscribers a sneak peak at the list but we never expected it to be the entire list.

The list is out and is full of many terrific wines! Let us say that again, the list is full of many terrific wines! However, there is a BUT. The BUT is that several of these wines have long been sold out. I'ts not that they were available this morning and all of a sudden they were gone... it is that these wines were some of the hottest wines of the year and this spring and summer when they were available they were gobbled up immediately including the #1 wine of the year, the Chappellet Signature Cabernet, the Merry Edwards Sauvignon Blanc and the Lewis Chardonnay just to name a few.

BUT Zachys still has one of the largest selections available of the 2009 Top 100 Wines of the Year! As always we have a healthy chunk of the list available right now and as pre-arrivals including many of the best values on the list! Never before have we seen so many wines from Italy in the Top 100; or for that matter so many tremendous values from around the world. This year, the Top 100 Wines of the Year are wine to buy now and to buy by the case as these noteworthy wines are some of the best values in the market today.
