2005 BORDEAUX 99 POINTS from Wine Spectator...the Final Reviews Are OUT!

2005 Bordeaux is truly one of the most magnificent vintages that I have ever seen! Every day I am impressed on how the wines are evolving, this vintage has produced a plethora of amazing wines that are seductive in their youth; yet represent the structure and depth of legendary age-able Bordeaux.
The Wine Spectator’s March 31st issue is dedicated to this amazing vintage that they rated a whopping 99 Points and referred to as “… A Vintage that Ranks Among the Greatest Since the Legendary 1961.” Plus, James Suckling the chief critic for Wine Spectator scored Eight Wines a Perfect 100 Points. With that being said, the overall quality and value of the wines are amazing. Never before has Bordeaux experienced a vintage where the quality of the wines was so widely spread throughout the region. 2005 is a perfect example of how nature supplied the winemakers with a perfect canvas to craft their work and luckily for us the winemaking techniques of Bordeaux are what they are today. Jean-Guillaume Prats of Chateau Cos d’Estournel told James Suckling of the Wine Spectator: “You can’t compare what we are doing today to 1989 or 1982. [Today’s] Attention to detail is incomparable.”
As is the case in all highly acclaimed vintages, the wines are selling out before they arrive. However, Zachys currently has over 50 Chateaux In-Stock Now with over 180 Chateaux rated 90+ Points available and 75 selections under $30!
2005 Bordeaux is not just a collectors vintage, it’s a vintage for ALL!
Enjoy,
Jeff
