Founded in 1812 and owned by the de Nonancourt family since 1939, Laurent-Perrier remains independent and family-owned, and La Cuvée is the house's non-vintage Brut. It blends 55% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 15% Pinot Meunier, using only juice from the first, gentlest pressing, and spends at least four years in the house cellars. Dosage is light, and the wine sees no oak. The nose is perfumed, with citrus and white orchard fruit, and the palate follows fresh and easygoing, adding honeysuckle and ripe peach. It is medium-bodied, with a gentle, delicate sparkle, and a faint toasty note arrives on the dry finish. This is a Champagne built for poise and refreshment. Open it as an aperitif with gougères, smoked salmon blinis or vegetable tempura.

It aged four years on fine lees and was disgorged in 2023 and finished with a nine gram per liter dosage. Golden yellow with lively effervescence, it has showy and vibrant citrus aromas mixed with ripe quince, pomegranate, red currant and white flowers. Medium-bodied with a very fine mousse, the palate has energetic acidity, citrus and stone fruit intensity, and a chalky grip on the finish." 11/23

The nose is very pretty and elegant, with floral aromas of brioche and sweet orchard fruits. Fresh with apricot, it is expressive of its lovely Chardonnay character.
